I have had this one for awhile, always going to get around to fixing it and never have, I just do not have the patience and talent.
It is a very nice Bavarian officer Raupenhelm.
Very nice officer silk liner with Ludwig wappen on front. Nice kokarden which is correct and chinstrap is in great shape.
The original raupe is an officer shaggy type, and is what needs to be reattached to the helmet. These have two attachment parts, on on top of helm and one in the rear. the rear clip and attachment part of the shell are there, but the top one on the raupe is gone. I am sure someone can fix it or make something to attach it to the helmet, previous owner used glue, which remnants of can still be seen on top of helmet, I have not tried to remove. the hook part on top of shell is there.
This is a very nice helmet just needs a little TLC.
no extra holes anywhere.
