Welcome your thoughts on this, is it pioneer, the buttons and epaulettes and tailors name all point to Bavarian, as ever welcome your thoughts, thanks, Paul
With the exception of the boards, this is a M 1910 Bavarian engineer (not pioneer) officer's waffenrock as a military administrator (Beamte) with the correct engineer officer tabs. The M1916 boards on the tunic appear to be for either the future piece time uniform or the litewka of the 1st Bavarian pioneer officer Btln. Prior to the introduction of the1916 (Bavarian) feldbluse, pioneer officers wore no collar litzen. For the bluse, pioneer officers were allowed the muted double guard litzen.
Dave, this is great......have you any pictures of the correct epaulettes, also would a gilt buckle or silver buckle go with the tunic, thanks for your help, Paul
