This is evidently the Baden counterpart to the Prussian "Beamtenadler" for civil services. Just made me wonder - was it a nationwide system for all states to add such a miniature emblem? Would you find this for Bavaria, Hessen etc. too? If so, it seems like quite a collecting field in itself.

Seems to be a nice helmet.
One question pops up... Why does the griffon on the helmet look the other way in comparison with the one on the information page?
