This helmet has seen some combat ,but it is still in its original “mustard “color ,as we call it.
Sometimes collectors like to grease or lacquer their helmets against rust, but then this color becomes dark and shiny, that’s why I like this one; untouched since the war.
Some helmets were kept in service after the war but then got overpainted by a green-kaki color.
