Hi Gentlemen collectors,
it could have been for me today a big black day :x
Look at this JR 92 officer Helmet M15:

I wanted to buy this item, because I was pretty sure this is a good one and convinced the seller to give me a "buy it now" option, so he took the helmet out of ebay especially for me, after many, many mails. The price was pretty high, but for seach an helmet...... But I was not 100% convinced (the little voice in my head). Before I had to pay with paypal, I took a look on the net and made some intensive search, and it was my rescue. The seller has with a companion an auction house in Münsingen/Württemberg ( Staufer Auktionen oHG Appel Thomas & Pfanneberg ), and I saw that exact the same helmet, but with another frontplate (classic prussian officer reserve eagle) was for sold on the last auction of the 2. April 2011 for 850,- EUR. Nobody bought it. And now the helmet is on ebay as a JR 92 officer helmet. Of course, I didn´t want any more to buy. Then I confronted the seller (ludwigeimer) with those facts, and he came out with the truth: he confessed he had an old JR 92 officer helmet , completely broken, but the skull and peninsula emblems, so he put them on the auction helmet...Take a look at those picts and appreciate this big fraud:
