can see its likely a guard/grenadier helmet possibly, but surely the bidding is being boosted here :???:

yes, looks like it could be a guard helmet due to the width of the wappen holes...

Yes I was looking at the hole spacing, thought it would have made a nice easy clean up. But check out the high bidder with 4 feedbacks.. only bidding activity this month is 8 bids all on the one item. I could be wrong but it looks like hes bidding it up. I hate this ebay policy of hiding bidders identity, makes it so easy for a seller to do that these days. At any rate I lost all interest when it passed the 200 mark =;

Looking at the bid increments of the bidder with 4 feedbacks, I do not see a pattern of running up the bid. Remember that you are the ultimate controller of how much you are going to pay, a shill should not be able to push you over a fair price. One thing to look for is a bidder who makes increasing bids, and tops your bid, then with draws his bid, on a European auction, you are not required to purchase the item, and I think the same argument can be made in the US, because once you have been out bid, your obligation to purchase has been voided.

Thats already an afwul lot of money for this dirty helmet and 26 bids so far :o Is there something about this helmet I am missing here?

Regards,

Edwin

I was asking the same thing..it certainly seems to be a guard helmet and for those of us who dont mind spending a little time on cleaning up, its a very complete and apparently easy job, but thats a lot of money..why so much? This is why I was thinking the bidding was being pushed :-k
