Blue Adrian with Khaki artillery plate

I would like to hear any thoughts on this Adrian...has the later war liner, and the plate I assume was added at a depot, rather that early factory paint while on the helmet. It looks to have been in place a long time, both from inside and outside. Might they have stuck a Khaki or mustard plate on a blue helmet? There is no apparent ghosting where a different size plate was before. There are two tiny spots of blue paint on it. Thanks!

Without seeing the helmet in the flesh I'd say it is a mismatched helmet and plate, which is unfortunate. I'd say to keep an eye out for a nice plate in the proper color.
