This was my big score at SOS. A Blue Cloth Home Service Helmet to the South Wales Borderers, formerly the 24th Regiment of Foot.

I have a few blue-cloths so I noticed this on one of Gus's pictures of the tables. I thought it looked nice then , and it certainly is!

Peter,

On the most recent photos of Stuart's collection that I've seen on GMIC(June 09) he had 22 home service helmets on his shelves, not to mention another 100 assorted helmets and pieces of headgear -all in cracking condition, so far as I could see.

I had a couple of mine posted in this section, but they disappeared in last autumn's meltdown. The most unusual one I have is a KRRC 1881-1890 grey cloth with plate and furniture in blackened white metal. I also have a number of cavalry helmets.

I know notting of this type of helmets, but this one sure looks like a top shelf helmet... Congratulations!
