Brunswick IR 92 Mann. M1910 Schirmmütze

I don't understand why some sellers are adamant about not shipping outside the US... Canada is not that far north, is it??

Anyway, what do you think about this--alas too often faked--cap?

I would not bid. There is a brighter area between the Reich's Kokarde and the Totenkopf where the Kokarde was before it was moved up, You can also see the holes for the prongs. As well, this is the standard "open nose" fake Totenkopf that shows up on ebay 50 times a week. Unless that nose is broken (could be?) but it appears to have been added to the Schirmmütze based on those fade marks and holes. I don't have one of these, been looking forever, yet to find one I believe in.

Fishy cap and the seller doesn't ship to our great white North anyway...

Well, I have an opinion about sellers who will not ship out of fortress USA as us "foreigners" are just so scary. I will keep my opinion to myself out of respect for my good neighbours and friends to the south. But really, I can drive to Maine in 40 minutes. But some will not ship to Canada???

Not defending any of the sellers who do not ship outside USA. I always offer International the few occasions I sell somthing.

But I assume a lot of them do not do it because of the all the paperwork that is now involved. We have 2 basic types of Customs forms that they require and one problem is, they never tell you which one you need until you try and ship it, so now I go through all the hassle of filling out both so I am ready. Then when you get there, if it is over a very low $ amount, they then have to manually type in all the information from the forms into their computer which can take awhile. Whole procedure is time consuming and not much fun.

It is a price of doing business and I live with it.

I often compare it to Europeans that I often deal with that will not take Paypal.... They want bank tranfers. Bank Transfers at least at my bank require a trip to the bank to do, 20 to 30 minutes of paperwork and then the $30 fee they charge me whether I am sending $20 or $2000

So we all suffer in some way or another

All the best

James

PS I love my neighbors to the North and will always ship to you guy's, it's the French Canadian blood in me :D

Occasionally, I do sell stuff on ebay, and I have to confess I only ship to so-called Western countries...

Regards,

Edwin
