in another thread yesterday and the days before the Brussels army museum was mentioned,
as it has an incredible collection of imperial headgear I decided it merits its own tread,
So yesterday returning from our holiday home in the Ardennes I mad a small detour to make some Photographs of the big showcases with imperial headgear (preceding the stahl helm)
I will post a single Photo of every showcase , I also made some close ups, can add them later if requested, also I will add some photo's of artillery and tanks, but of course te collection is way bigger, every begingerant army has its own show case, and there are showcases with machine guns, gasmasks etc

Been to this museum several times, the first was about 40 years ago! Fun story about it, I was visiting Europe with my friend and we had a mutual friend from Canada who is Belgian and whose dad lived in Brussels he was visiting when we were there.

We went to this museum but it was closed, much to my chagrin. However the curator let us in as my Belgian friend explained we from Canada and were leaving Brussels the next day. The curator showed us around a little bit and then told us to enjoy the museum and to leave by the door which we just came in so we were the only 3 in the entire museum!

When I saw these pickelhaube displays that day I was floored! Thanks for posting, I really enjoyed the photos which brought a smile to my face thinking back to that day!
