This one, I don't have a very good feeling about it.

The French auction house insisted that it's totally original which I have my doubts.

Looking at the wappen/skull I believe this to be a crude repro. I see lots of bubbles and imperfections from “casting” . This is not 19thC German quality. Just another fake Amy, like the ones we got burned on at the SOS. :thumbsdown:

Brian thank you. When I saw it when it arrived, I went wow it's a fake. When I approached the auction house, they said their few experts certified it to be original. I disputed their claims worth experts opinions. They still insist it's original.

Not every auction house has excellent expertise on pickelhaubes ,it is often a place to dump the doubtful stuff.
