Camo M17s

Good evening gentlemen,

I figured I'd make some posts and share a few pieces I've picked up in recent months.

The first being a nice standard pattern camouflage M17 helmet which appears to have a VFW tag on the front, I am assuming this was a VFW and not museum due to the way camouflage was spelled "camafloged". This one is unfortunately missing the liner pads and one split pin but is in otherwise good shape!

The second helmet wasn't getting much attention on ebay due to its condition but in hand I think this non standard pattern is a gem, it does have a sizable rust spot on the brim and is also missing a liner pin but it's still a solid example imo.

I think they display quite well with the other Camo M17 as well as my garde M17. Luckily the missing pins are on opposite sides of the helmet as well so they don't show while sitting on the shelf!

Nice set of camos.
They are now fetching the prices of nazi helmets.
Back in the day when I collected them the average price for a good one was about $150- $350
Spikes were $150 EM and $450 for a Off

Its getting ridiculous nowadays days you have to add 1000 to those prices.

It's a part of the helmets history and I'll be leaving it right where it's at for as long as it's in my collection.

Very nice I agree the sticker stays on. You see quite a few mail homes where the labels have been removed and of course made the helmet not worthless but worth less. Rob
