Can anyone date this Bavarian 1855 model sword?

It has a steel scabbard with two rings. It also appears to have a WKC or Kirschbaum makers mark.

Your Bavarian Infantry Officer sword has the correct Foot Officer Portepee along with the distributor name on the spine of the blade. As to dating the sword, it has a bright plated scabbard with two suspension rings. Regulations dictated the plated scabbards should be blackened in 1905 and the scabbards should have only one suspension ring by 1910. So, your sword can be dated to have been made/used prior to circa 1905/1910. I hope this is helpful.

A nice early sword.
