Not just fake, but the most common fake you'll see, take notes on this piece.
Its not these Indian fakes, but the really good fakes you should be scared of. Best of luck with the next one.

Take a look at the spike shape and memorize the authentic forms. The Merryweather fireman's helmet also looks to be a fake and I would guess the French one next to the Indiahaube is also a phony. Study originals before making a bad purchase. there are a LOT of good reference photos on this site.
