I do not remember if we talked about this before -- trailer from a Canadian movie due out in November.

Wow !!! That trailer looks fantastic. I can not wait until it comes out. Finally a Cdn movie on one of the epic battles that we were involved in. Many thanks for this posting Joe. I am just finishing up WW1 with my students. WW1 is as important to the formation of our country as the Revolution was for you folks. Funny how a war or revolution helps to create Nations ! Brian

Outstanding!!

I love to see movies showing the perspective of other countries.

Sorry Yanks, but your movies tend to dominate all over the world so we do not often get to see this, great to see the Canadian perspective. It is difficult to convey the impact the the Great War had on fledgling nations like Canada, Australia and New Zealand - the losses were far greater than in WW2.

Passchendaele also saw the highest Australian casualties in a single battle - 38,000.

Now Canucks, you need to do 'Vimy Ridge' and then maybe a combined Australian/Canadian production entitled 'August 8 1918 - The Black Day of the German Army'

I agree totally Mike. It is very difficult to get Hollywood interested in any movie topics other than American ones. There are documentariees on Vimy but no movies. Brian

That looks great! I wonder if it will make it to where I live? Probably only to major US cities.

You Canadians needn't apologize, I may be a rarity but I also enjoy seeing movies made from other nations points of view. I would really like to see this one!

the movie is primarily based on the 10th Battalion CEF.Paul Gross for those in the US starred in "Due South " as the mountie.
The movie took him along time to put together .i hope it makes out to Canadian theater's longer than a day and out to the world as well. From interview's and new's clip's i picked up he draw's alot from his grandfather's journel's.
I would love to see a movie that would cover August 08th as well .
The Austrailian movies on the Great war are very good. Some of my favorites.

For a good movie on WW2 watch "Captain of the Cloud's" with James Cagney as it was filmed in color and in Canada in 1942.also side part by seceral WW1 veteran's including Billy Bishop VC.
