Well we now know through recent sources, at least new to me that 80,000 hauben were brought back to the US as captured war trophies and displayed in New York City. I doubt that the NYC pyramids of helmets used all of them. However, we North American collectors know that there are a lot of M15’s mainly in the US and many are in new condition.
