I was able to get a pair of ribbon bars for a Bavarian senior officer just this week. I got the two for a really good price with is good because Im not actively buying so can save money for a particularly nice item… I hope…

Here’s the old style bar shown for display only open the Flugeladjutant to the King of Bavaria, Graf zu Castell-Castell.
Im not sure how I feel about these old style trapezoid ribbon bars as they’re so large that its almost comical.

The other ribbon bar displayed on the Bavarian 1st Heavy Cavalry Regt. I have no torso or space to display this one anymore. The original major who owned this wore a bar even longer than this one so I estimate his bar had 14-15 awards to completely cover the loops fron the flap to the armpit

I like these large medal clasps better than the small ones - I'm not a collector of medals. As far as I know, Bavaria always puts its highest order before the iron cross. Then the other Bavarian orders. Then those of the other states. Please correct me if I make incorrect statements.

You are correct but if their orders were higher level orders like breast or neck orders then there was no ribbon ahead the EK. This man didn’t have a bravery medal and his orders were all of the level to be worn on the neck or breast. You will notice the Bavarian Jubilee Medal 1905 right after the EK2 then the Bavarian Long Service Medal after the decorations and orders of other states on the bar. Apparently, he was never awarded a lower grade of the MMO from a prior conflict unless he just decided not to wear a lower level MMO. He was awarded the MMO officers honor cross pin back order.

I dint own the medal bar but you can find the matching bar if you search Leonrod medal bar.

That's quote something. Looks auperb!
Do you have a picture taken from the front? So we have a complete look of the Wappen?

I love this photo... makes a great conceptual link to the original photos of field marshals, generals and staff officers reviewing troops in the field. Looking at it all together with the photos of the actual uniforms you can bring all that field ceremonialism to life in your mind.
