Lost Skeleton

Well-known member
Before I put away my low budget outdoor cardboard studio, and as a tribute to my friends up North, I'll bore (no pun intended) you with a 1905 Smith & Wesson Second Model First Change Hand-Ejector in Caliber .455 as purchased by the Canadian Government.

When I acquired this revolver, it was complete with holster and lanyard. The Canadian Property marked holster, made by the harness company, Hugh Carson, is a supple as the day it was made.

the Sand W is a rarer piece.A member of our WFA branch donated here Grandfahter's SandW 455 to a Museum in kingston.
Hope to see you at the militaria show.
I will get out the camera and take pic's of the 1911 made by the Ross Rifle Co. it is almost identical to the 1911 with minor differences.

Hi Mark:

I was inspired to hunt for one of these after seeing (and coveting) Tony's superb example:

Though my revolver does not feature the "C" Broad Arrow, it is Canadian contract nevertheless. S&W also manufactured a .455 Eley for Britian, and I believe those are the most difficult to find in their original configuration.

If you're speaking of the show on the 29th, I will certainly try to be there.

Chas.
