For someone trying to sell for $100+ what's after all only an old rotting piece of leather with such poor photos, I find item authenticity quite doubtful... Besides, since when were these dated? (if you look closely, it reads '1916' yet somehow the seller doesn't mention it) :-k

Although I am sure that there are forum members who are much more knowledgeable about this, however, I have seen quite a lot of chinstraps when I was looking for one earlier this year and I agree that it is quite doubtful whether this is an original one. Moreover, I don't recall seeing one with a date stamped in it :-k
