Chris Mills - Author of "The Jaunty Hat"

I heard this month that Chris Mills, author of "The Jaunty Hat," the study of Anglo-Indian sun helmets, passed away in November. He had devoted his time to the study of British and Indian tropical helmets. I believe he was also working on a book on the Enfield Pattern 1853 rifle. I don't know if that book or his second volume on sun helmets will be completed.

I didn't know the man, but my sincere condolences go out to his many friends and family I'm sure who surely miss him.

It's always sad to hear of the passing of someone in our small community.

I know I still haven't come to terms with our dear friend Steves passing.
