Clean or not to clean?

Hello all. Need advice regarding my helmets........should I try to clean up and polish my helmets or leave them the way they are with the Patina? Also, any tips on what to use if I clean them like leather polish, brasso, etc..? Thanks in advance.
 
Dust them gently...yourself....(as the Missus often pays a part she will understand)
Leave the patina as is.

Yup, I agree. Dust 'em off. NO leather treatment and certainly NO Brasso or other abrasives. Tony has a nice section on cleaning on Kaiser's Bunker.

Apart from a light clean as mentioned above leave them alone. They look better that way especially if enlisted, they have been through a war and the patina once lost will take another lifetime to return.
