These helmets belongs to the Berlin history museum collections that I have visited in 2010.... The pictures are bad because the light was very low.. Anyway it is quite rare ones and undoubtely genuine!

With the 2 ones battle damaged it is said that the owners have been killed!! I recommend the visit of this great museum, you will also find a GENUINE Napoleon hat and sword coming from the emperor carriage seized by the Blücher troops at Waterloo! The story is in all the history books but I didn't knew that these trophees have survived WWII...

I love the GR89 II Mecklenburg Strelitz Reserve Offizier Haube!! WOW!!! Not much Reserve Officers in this Bataillon...Pretty scarce...

Thanks for sharing! The damaged ones really do bring home the waste of war. I'm with Philippe on the Mecklenburg Strelitz, very nice indeed!

Thats an interesting chin strap, was there any information about the helmet under the cover (perhaps some sort of ersatz type)?
