Hey all,
I tried to find some more detailed informations about the mentioned Cocades.
> Does anybody know german Regulations about the 51mm Cocade for "Unteroffizier with Portepee" and about the implementation of the double Ring Cocades?
I've read about it on Col. J's (The NCO-Cocades) and Tony's Web-Site (Pickelhaube Characteristics & Rank Guide/Korkaden) but neihter I have the Reference-Book from Lacarde and Bowman or found the referenced AKO of 16 March 1867.
I found prussian Regulations (post 1900) about the Material, the Diameter, the colour, the width of the Ring and the minimal distance to the outline of the black Sheetmetal-Part of the Cocades. But no Rule concerning a double Ring-Design or any other detailed Designs (But as a german Guy I really have doubts that the style was not defined by detailed regulations) Could it be that it was just a Style-Trend to design the Officer-Cacade-Ring with a double Ring?
Maybe the 2 Rings represents the German-Kingdoms and the whole Imperial-Germany (Just my thought because it was mentioned that the double ring came up around 1871)?
I got days of Google-Investigations behind me, searched many Key-Words around "Cocades" in German and English but without success concerning these topics
There are old Discussions about Cocades in this Forum but unfortunately I can't see the Pictures of these Threads.
It would be awesome if anybody got a Link to some german Documents .
Thank you guys
