Cockade Question

I recently picked up a Reichs cockade that appears different. Two piece with felt center. The silver ring only has two ridges (like those for an NCO's helmet ). It measure 30mm in diameter, which is much lager than any of the other cap cockades I have.cockade.jpg
IS this an Imperial piece? What type of hat would it be for? Thank you.

I'm beginning to think this cockade may be for the 1913 sun helmet. Can anyone confirm or refute this?

I have tried to research this and can find nothing.
All of my Schirmmutze and Mutze Kokarden range in size between 18mm and 22/23mm.
I can't find any information on a Kokarde this size.
The sun helmet seems possible.

The German Colonial Uniforms website ( http://www.germancolonialuniforms.co.uk) has photos of the 1913 helmet and the cockade on that appears to match this one On a vendor's site ( https://www.germanmilitaria.com/Imperial/photos/G043766.html ) there is one described as "IMPERIAL COLONIAL GERMAN SOUTHWEST AFRICA COCKADE. (Kokarde) Nice example of a "Reichs-Kokarde". Two piece construction with a 30mm diameter base. Center piece is single ringed with red wool to the center and a fluted out ring. " Here is a shot of mine and the vendor's,
