I see this latest news as really bad for all collectors of anything historical. A 91-year old man has been collecting for decades and the FBI is investigating his collection - but what bothers me (as a journalist) is that the stories don't make it clear WHY the FBI is investigating. Are we at the point where you are guilty until you prove you're innocent?
I really believe part of it is also because this is a large collection and the FBI is hoping to get lucky that even one piece was obtained through dubious means, etc. This is fishing in my opinion but the man is old the FBI or someone is using this as an excuse to get their hands on these artifacts.
