Deutsch kriegs-konvolut

Wow! Zeb, you are extremely lucky to be able to put together such an excellent display of rare WW1 German items! :) (y)

Zeb, I am always fascinated and overwhelmed by the images from your magnificent collection.

Best regards
Frank
Dear Frank, compliments are always very welcome, especially from a passionate collector and expert on German militaria like you.
Grüße aus Italien.
Zeb.

This is impressive!! How could those holsters survive in such a great condition? This light brown colour is beautiful. They could have been taken yesterday out of a Hermes shop window... Congratulations.
A question: although I do not know much about weapons, I can guess where the PO8 holster is, but what about the the smaller one? What pistol was fitting in there? Mauser?

Dear Bruno,
Yes, as always, you are right, in fact it is a holster for the Mauser Mod. 1910 or mod. 1914.
I must say that the time machine that I myself designed and am testing works perfectly.

Great items, nice pictures.
Allow me to ad the Belgian counterpart;
So here we have the super piece from the Belgian headgear, namely the Reine Elisabeth helmet, which I have been looking for for 10 years, but have never come across before,

I wanted one since 1973....and got my first one 8 years ago!
I came a cross 3 since 1973...

You have a good eye for the cavalry's stuff. This one is a U.R.13 offiziere schirmmutze Mod. 1910.
Not exactly. It's just that whenever I see these distinctive colors, I can't help but associate them with cavalry units. After all, among all German military branches, the cavalry undoubtedly boasts the most dazzling and varied color schemes.
