Diagnosed with Covid-19, again.

So, it's my third time with the bug. It's a little bit easier this time, maybe some natural immunity, I don't know.
I'm taking Paxlovid, which seems to help; I'd recommend it. I stopped getting the shots after the first round
because a couple of people I know developed heart complications shortly after receiving it.
Anyone here sick yet this season?
Best,
T

My wife and I finally got covid a while back. Also took paxlovid and it worked great. Minor symptoms only. Get well soon!

Sorry to hear your feeling under the weather.

I had it for the fourth time last year and only had a slight headache I only found out that I had it from taking a test. I was going to a viewing of a friend who had passed away and my wife said you better take a test before you go with being around his folks who were in their 80's

It certainly has gotten less and less for me each time, I'm a firm believer in natural medicine and the body's natural ability to heal as well as the benefits of having a strong immune system. The friend I lost due to covid was a young healthy 55 year's old and had gotten all the shots and boasters. He was so afraid of covid that he barely left his house and died from heart complications.

Very strange that because he was an avid swimmer and went to the gym several times a week with no history of heart problems.

Coincidence? Did all those vaccines do it? I really don't know but in the end it's truly sad. I will let it up to the individual to decide for themselves, people have developed very strong feelings on both sides of the vaccine question.

My wife and I just got over Covid. I took Paxlovid and my wife did not and she recovered faster than I did. Her case morphed into a sinus infection and mine into pneumonia. This new strain seems to do that my Doc tells me. We both then took antibiotics and are better now.

A nasty bug to be certain.

My wife and I have had 5 shots, we are totally up to date. We did test positive last spring but the symptoms were that of a mild cold and we recovered quickly. I come from the Boomer Generation, I believe in Science and vaccinations and have done so throughout my life. As a High School teacher, I believe that I have been exposed to most every bacillus known to man. At present, I am alive and in good health. :)

I never officially had it, there was a point here several years ago where I tested positive for it, however I am pretty sure it was false, the sickness was completely off from what Covid is supposed to be like, so I am glad that I have never gotten it. I also was never vaccinated, aside from 1 time. my major issue is with Strep throat, but that's another issue. At any rate, I hope you bounce back soon,

Get well soon. On the question of vaccines, in my family some people want them, others avoid them.
We discuss it, but we respect each other's convictions.

When my wife died, we where both tested and proofed covid positive, at the emmergency.
The fact my wife died can't be related to covid, it can't be said it wasn't as well.
My wife was a high school teacher, as well.
We never got vaccinated, and I still wouldn't.
I was the weakest link; age, overweight , and long problems....

Correct I have had as many vaccinations as I can get. Flu Covid shingles etc. have had Covid a few times but thanks to the injections like a mild cold . I’m 60 last thing I want is full blown Covid or flu. If you are obese heart cancer etc get the jab! It doesn’t hurt and so far the FBI have not been round and are not controlling me. Rob

I have gone quiet for a while as yes I GOT COVID sob sob. Still on my 7th day and it's bad. The only good thing is I lost weight which I needed to for a long time lol

Sorry to hear that Amy, last time I had it I lost 14 kilos and haven't been able to regain that weight. Now, three days before I'm due to have my fourth booster I have it again. Just my luck. Get well soon.
Steve
