Well, I can honestly say I'm beyond impressed! You must get a lot of pleasure viewing your collection! As I started looking, I asked myself, 'Does he have one from Darmstadt? ... Yup!

A small update, picked up a couple of new pieces in August thanks to Jeff R, AoK and one I bought several months ago from Europe that just arrived two weeks ago (not a shipping issue, just a seller slow to send). I plan on posting some detailed pics at a future date but 3 from Jeff are already posted on the site in detail (afaik) so don’t want to be redundant.

Funny, that is what Mrs B says as well....it either is a total drought or a monsoon in this hobby I have found and August it was a monsoon no question! Thanks for the compliments John Josef!

Shelf space is at a premium now so I may have to park a few in your warroom!!

Wow, this is a miraculous catch for just one month.
Your incredible collection is not only growing exponentially every day, but it's also becoming slightly "Stevenized."
Just as I clicked on the A.o.K. website to purchase the Dragoner Regiment No. 9 officer's helmet, the "SOLD" sign appeared.
I won't deny that I was disappointed at the time. Now I'm happy that it has found a home in your wonderful and important collection.

I think you guys beat me to the punch by about 60 seconds... I pulled up the website right after they loaded their newest items and this one was already sold.

Congratulations on some wonderful additions to your collection Doug!

My apologies gentlemen. I was fortunate in the timing this time for sure, there have been days when I also cursed that an item went very quick. I usually blame Amy lol. I will say nothing beats a lightning fast internet connection and nothing is worse than when the wheel of death starts spinning just as you are about to complete a purchase. That happened to me once and by the time I reloaded the site, the item was gonzo!
