Great find. 2.Großherzoglich Mecklenburgisches Dragoner Regiment Nr.18. Parchim. The Regiment suffered serious losses during the first weeks of the Great War. Belgium: Waremme; and Halen: August 12th 1914; where the Regimental Commander- Major Victor Graf Digeon von Monteton-fell the moment he arrived at the battlefield; leading his Eskadrons in the Attack formation.
