Hello,
I recently got this helmet and after some reading and looking I have seen look alike helmets that had two "screws" on that metal part on the rear.

this shows the rear with the metal part...

Hello AR, I assume you are referring to the two split brads on the rear spines of Dragoner helmets? Those are only found (as far as I am aware) on issued examples. I don't know much about your helmet, but with that Perlring, it is not issued, so it would not have those two brads on the spine. Tony

Thanks a lot,Tony! You understood what I meant :D So if I understand you right, the way it looks on mine is legit for a Eigentums piece, right?

BTW Impressive piece you posted there!

I believe so, yes. But with Eigentums-helme, there are no clear 'rules" in my opinion. So it would not surprise me in the least to see an Eigentum Dragonerhelm with the rear spine retainers.

Hi AR,
Am I wrong or does your helmet have a Grenadier front plate?... Do you have other pictures?
Bruno

Thanks again for the quick response! I was asking just to make sure that the missing spine retainers aren´t a red flag. This field of yours is far too complex to get an understanding from 2hrs internet research,I really appreciate your help.

Regards
