Dear Collectors,

It has been quite a long time since I last posted on the forum, and I am pleased to share photographs of my latest acquisition: a helmet for a Reserve Officer of a Prussian Dragoon Regiment.

It is a really beautiful example. The leather shell has not been re-drilled, and the gilding on the helmet plate remains superb. The interior is marked "D.R.G.M. Germania", and the original officer's name is also present.

I hope you will enjoy the photos as much as I enjoy having this piece in my collection. As always, comments and observations are most welcome.

Best regards,
Thomas

Hi Thomas it's very good to see you back on the forum, what a beautiful helmet.

It's the first I can remember seeing marked that way, is the spike and venting feature special in some way. That patent marking makes me wonder, truly a beautiful example.

Congratulations
MFG John Josef
