DRP ???

Can't seem to find out what the marking DRP should mean on this item ?




DR = dragoon regiment probably. the P no idea ???
The weird part is that it is marked on a artillery uberzug???

Tom, "DRP" (Deutsches Reichspatent) was a patent notice dealing with the manufacturer, not the unit.

To complete the answer of Tony I can add :
DRP continued until 1945 and was replaced by DBP (Deutsche Bundespatent)
With the DRP we can found DRGM (Deutsches Reichs-Gebrauschs-Muster = registered trade mark in germany)
