dutch ww1 kepi

my latest find is a modest one,
during the first world war the Netherlands remained neutral,
as I'm collecting all countries engaged in the conflict I did not collect non combattant countries like Switzerland Sweden and the netherlands,

Last years I did not own any Dutch headgear ( I did own some dutch helmets and headgear but discarded them 10 years ago when I discarded all non WW1 items).

But being Dutch myself and after reading some books about the Netherlands during the great war (much more interesting then I I thought),
Paul Moeyes " buiten schot",
and going to the theatre for the play, by Diederik van Vleuten I got new interest in the subject and could not let this fieldgrey Dutch cap from the WW1 mobilisation period go, so bought it en took it home.

Hope you like it

Very nice Michiel! By the way, I also have the book by Paul Moeyes, Buiten schot, and read it.
And several other books about WW1, and the Dutch.
I only have 1 Dutch helmet though, an M33, from the period just before WW2.

There is another interesting contribution from a Dutch author about ww1
A book about suffering and medicine in ww1
