Going by the brow plate/vent lugs, wouldn't this likely be a 66 cm instead of a 64 cm helmet?

The description discusses the maker marks, yet no photos of them seem to be included. :-k

This helmet is for sale on many sites under the names seeallmyactions , hindenburg1418 , lager porta , ir15 and the list goes on.

Many attempts to sell it, but nobody buys it...hmmm. :-"

Finally, it seems that potential buyers are getting smart :study:

Regards,

Edwin

So you are saying it is a fake and why can it not be for sell on different sites.
Nothing wrong with it .
Wenn it is on different sites the seller do not have to be a fraud.
Maybe hoping for the highest bid on one of the sites.

I think its sufficient to say that most of this seller's auctions, on whatever website, are surrounded by an aura of inconsistencies at many levels. Just my thoughts :D

Edwin

I am pretty sure he is this member has many names like hindenburg1418 , lagerporta , seeallmyactions , 15 ect. ect.

I am not the seller , but he is a friend of me.
Nothing wrong with the dude .
Hey only sells militaria already for a long time.
Place it on more sites for the highest profit .
And he has a big ww1 collection .
I have talked to him and he said of the 1000 things i sell there are always people not satisfied .
And yes people only looks at the negative things !!!
He always give the garantee not satisfied money back.
Maybe that's why his feedback is 100% :D
So i think do not talk about people if you do not know the background.
He just want to make some money and one other thing over the profit he pays taxes [-o<

The purpose of this part of the forum is to discuss items put up for sale on various auction sites and get feedback as to whether they may be fake, partly faked or completely original. We try to protect fellow collectors from wasting their hard earned money. Thanks Hindenburg for the information on this seller.

Your "friend" is a very Lucky man everytime he goes to France he find a gaede helmet on a flea market.

I have asked him about the plates and he really has bought these plates on a French brocante.
Also with a lot of helmets and bayonets.
The brocante he bought the plates and other stuff was in Cierges sous montfaucon nearby the big cemetry of romagne sous montfaucon.

#-o It seems that your friend goes shopping at the "reprocante" also...
I have no problem at all with people earning some extra money by selling militaria, but it seems he forgets to mention that the item is repro in his poor descriptions... [-(

I know Cierges sous Montfaucon very well there was no flea market 2 weeks ago in Cierges i know because i was there in the region making pictures of German cemeteries there is 1 flea market/brocante a year in Cierges and that is always on the last weekend of august your "friend" is trying to sell this gaede helmet for many months/years and everytime he bought it 2 weeks ago on a flea market it,s a total b*llsh*t story and the gaede helmets are 100% fake and they are not outstanding collector items [-X .

I will tell him to change the story.
Think he replace the auction without any change.
Maybe lazy to change it.
But i do not see any written in the auctions about that the plates are orginal .
We both come already for 17 years in romagne sous montfaucon and surrounding areas and know everybody there very well.
And about the flee market i think last year it can be in august i do not remember that anymore.
It is the guy on the corner with his wife .
Every time he a had a lot of militaria items and also reproductions yes.
But it is his choice offcourse how he makes the advertising.
Nobody never complained wenn you look at his feedback.

Perhaps that means - If you dont see words "original", you are deceived by yourself.
