While working on Uberzugs I came across this rarity. The AKO of 8 May 1884 authorized an early maneuver cover (Trawnik pg 248). Glenn is chasing the AKO for me and Randy has one photo of these in use. Rastatt has an example and Randy took this picture. I found this infantry photo.

A nice pic again, Joe! One of this cover is for sale but I'm really not sure that it is an original one. This seller seems to be serious but some of the items he's selling are copies such as his felt shako or his tschapka cover for officier with red band for the manöver. The problem is that his prices are not repro!!!
