Dear American Members of WFA,

Our 10 November 2012 Symposium in World War I History is shaping up to be a fine event, and I’m looking forward to seeing so many of you at Fort Meade !

A couple of updates as we’re now two weeks out from the mail-in deadline:

· Student registration: a recent inquiry was received regarding free admission for undergraduate students (you may recall that we were able to do this at last year’s Symposium in Baltimore). While we’re not able to offer this again at Fort Meade, we can offer a greatly discounted admission of just $10 for undergraduates and below. If you qualify, please simply write “Student” on the registration form when mailing it in and pay accordingly.

· Meade Club Lunch Update: The lunch menu has just been confirmed and it is a particularly good value for just $15 per person. The buffet menu consists of assorted salads (green, potato, coleslaw, macaroni, cucumber, tomato, three bean), fried chicken and sliced roast beef with gravy, a vegetable medley, mashed potatoes, hot rolls and butter, desert, beverages. If anyone who originally opted not to participate would like to take advantage of the convenience and value of the buffet, you can pay on 10 November and join us.

· Door Prizes: I am thrilled that we will be offering two particularly good door prizes, both dealing with the French Army in WWI, and both recently released :

Once again I’m looking forward to seeing everyone at Fort Meade on 10 November! Attached for the convenience of anyone who hasn’t yet registered is the announcement flyer/registration form. Once again, we will need to submit an attendee list in advance so please bear in mind the 5 November mail-in deadline.

All the best,

Paul
