Hi Roy:
Looks like a nice honset piece to me. We do have some missing chinscales on one side. I looked through my books and can find only 2 Baden Regts that wore the black trichter. Baden Train Regt #14 and Baden Field Arty Regt #14. No other Baden Regt wore this trichter as far as I can discover. The trichter is also the proper officer model with what I believe to be buffalo hair. Brian

Ah, but the flat chinscales would rule out both Train and Feldartillerie. Also, what is holding the spike base stars in place? One appears to be riveted.
Roy, be cautious with this seller. Most of his auction items are spurious doctor jobs.

Man this guy just keeps coming up with junk and doctored helmets, seams like 3 or 4 a week.
