Ehrenrangliste des Deutschen Heeres 1914-18

There is a Hauptmann von Britzke listed in that regiment as a regular officer it doesn't say anything about him being a reserve officer. At the time the list was published he had the Prussian Crown Order 4th Class and the Saxon Albert Order Knights Cross 2nd Class.

Thanks! Can you PM me or post a scan/evidence of this ranking?

That is the later Major (10.10.18 H7h) Gotthilf v. Britzke. He died on 4 February 1925. There was no FAR 25 reserve officer of that name.

In the front of the book there's a guide to the orders and medals. The cross with a 4 is the Prussian Crown Order 4th Class. The SA3b is the Saxon Albert Order Knights Cross 2nd Class.

If he was a reserve officer would the rank list book say so? or does the book just not contain that information?

Hey Glenn

What edition rank list book is this? I am interested in finding one to purchase.

This is the 6 May 1914 edition of the Rangliste der königlich Preußischen Armee und das XIII. (Königlich Würtembergischen) Armeekorps für 1914. This was the last edition as during the war only seniority lists were published for 1917, 1918 and a post war edition for 1919.

The Reserve officers are listed in a separate section of the book by regiment or independent battalion.

Regards
Glenn
