Hello everybody,

Today I bought another Haube, a Saxon M95,






It is marked BAXII 13, so correct for a Saxon. On the other side are unitmarks, and a 1, but will have to look under blacklight to see which unit,
as they are hardly readable. Liner is grotty, but so would I if I was that age.

Looks to be a nice one just a bit damage to the liner but that is not that bad
It has the correct cocades but i am not sure they are original ones they look to new for me
Could be wrong here but its my first impression

Hi Jonas,

You are correct, I bought the helmet with serrated kokarden on it, which are not correct.
But I had a pair of modern repro saxon ones lying about here, so I fitted those.
I will be looking for a set of original ones, but they are not easy to find.

No they are not easy, i know. spare parts for helmets are always kept apart for some reason
For the time beeing it looks good until you find the correct ones
Did you figure out what the second stamp says in your helmet
Your going fast on buying your helmets ,there is no way back for you now

I am really happy to have struck a nice deal for 2 de-activated rifles which were gathering dust in my spare room, and some cash for these 2 hauben.
I had a happy sunday reorganizing my display-cabinets :D !
