Howdy all! Hope everyone is well! I had this amazing piece come in yesterday that I’ve been super excited for!

A very nice and rare named, enlisted Pelzmütze from 1878 or earlier!

When I saw this piece pop up on the AOK website I couldn’t believe my eyes, I was star struck! At first I was excited but I decided to wait a few days to see if it was something I really wanted. As it turns out I ended up having a dream about this piece and after talking it over with my significant other, I pulled the trigger! I sent our good friend Randy a message and he helped get this piece!

Honestly couldn’t be more happy with this piece, now that I have it in person!

I do plan to upgrade the field badge with a better repro or original but Randy was kind enough to lend me a good stand in for now and I’m very grateful for that!

Overall, this piece is a great addition with an awesome history and I’m so happy to be adding it to the collection! I’m really glad I get to share this piece with y’all and I appreciate y’all taking the time to read this!

All the best!

Congratulations Dane, I'm really happy for you. 🎊🎉

It's always great to see a young collector get a dream piece for their collection. (y)

Hopefully the conversation with the significant other went well, she seems like a lovely young lady.

All the best John Josef

Great to see the stitches-

-Can you show how the Kolpak is attached? With the metal ring still in it?
Thank you!
