Isn't its neck guard in the Lachmann style?

It looks pretty neat, but have a look at the straight on front view. The wappen looks off-angle and/or the visor is skewed.

What do the group Wise Men think?

Looks good to me, has Lachmann charecteristics as you pointed out, nice to see the correct spike on it!

Actually, that is the Ersatz Metallhelme as laurie said. The rear neck piece is much shorter than a Lachmann, the rivets on the rear are impressed into the body and so are the spike base rivets. For some reason (?) these were issued to 8 Jäger zu Pferde Regt and every one I have seen for sale, is marked "8 J P. Never seen one marked to a Kürassier Regt? Not uncommon for even the pre-war ones to look twisted a bit. Rarely does the crown on the chicken line-up with the tip on the spike base.
