I AM INTERESTED IN BUYING THIS HELMET :) , A PRUSSIAN ERSATZ FELT HELM, IT APPEARS A ONE PIECE PRESSING, THE INTERIOR LOOKS RIGHT, HOWEVER, BEFORE PARTING WITH MY CASH I WOULD APPRICIATE INPUT :) , I AM STILL NOT GOOD WITH THE OLD COMPUTER :???: SO I CAN ONLY PASTE THE #, WHICH IS 230077034735 , SORRY :o , IF SOME OF YOU LEARNED PEOPLE OUT THERE COULD TAKE THE TIME TO TIME TO PULL UP THE HELM I WOULD BE GRATEFUL :D !

Hi Steve:

I looked at this one a few days ago, and was once again amazed how certain sellers make the very least of their opportunities. The typographical errors "Prussion" and "Picklehaube" almost guarantee the item will receive minimum exposure.

As for "THE ONLY BIT MISSING IS PART OF THE CHIN STRAP," I would venture to say that "bit" includes a buckle as well as the leather. Cloaking the salient part of the strap in deep shadow is a fairly obvious evasion.

Though I am not a fan of ersatz felt, I believe the helmet is basically sound. However, in that condition, the starting price is rather steep. Be prepared to be the only bidder.

It's a sorry state of affairs when your one negative comes from military-bargains-uk.

Felt helmets crop up all the time. Should you commit to this one, it's a dead cert a better one will appear on the market the very next day.

Have to agree with Chas for the most part, except, I do love Ersatz felt examples!!

This one looks ok, however, Chas nailed it, the price is steep, I think you could do better.

CHAS,JAMES,THANKS FOR THE COMMENTS, MY INITIAL WORRY WAS THAT THE HELM COULD OF BEEN A REPRO, WITH REGARD TO THE CONDITION OF THE FELT , AS WHEN I FIRST JOINED , I WAS SHOCKED TO READ THAT ONE OF THE MAIN CULPRITS FOR FELT REPRO'S WAS THE U.K. !....I FOUND THIS HELM BY MISSPELLING SEARCH WORDS (WHICH REAPS SOME GREAT BARGAINS, THEY SHOULD OF PAID MORE ATTENTION AT SCHOOL !) THE SELLER ALSO HAS MORE HELMETS. I THOUGHT THE PRICE GOOD, AS THE COLLECTORS GUILD HAS ONE THAT IS A COUPLE HUNDRED $ MORE, AND NOT AS GOOD (IN MY OPINION), BUT ILL TAKE YOUR ADVICE CHAPS, & I'LL BID ANOTHER DAY. THANKS.
