Ersatz Felt Tschapkas

I hope that you all will enjoy this nice photo, showing Uhlans of Königs-Ulanen-Regiment Nr.13. Half the Tschapkas look to be the normal leather-bodied examples, while half are felt. It makes for a good photo study! Two of the chin straps look to be Ersatz cloth examples as well.

Although they have felt Tschapkas - no doubt it is a war time. All of them wear pre-war dunkelblau waffenrocks.
