James will tell you that I tend to shy away from felt, but I couldn't resist this recent eBay acquisition. I doubt I could find one nicer.

The three crimps in the visor trim are a telltale sign that this Kugelhelm was once mated to an Überzug.

Perhaps not anymore. I collect primarily early helmets, but I absloutely love Ersatz Filz helmets. Always have. What a frosty example you have there Chas. :thumbright:

By P'haube standards, this specimen is also fairly large. I would estimate it is the equivalent of an U.S. size 7-1/4.
