I'm working on something now for Military Trader on the ups and downs of estate sales, garage sales, etc. Anyone want to share any stories with me? Any fantastic finds, any disappoints, are prices just stupid thanks to reality TV, etc.?

My wife and I really like the Floh Markte in Berlin. I found a nice Berlin Polizie (sp?) shako there for a good price. Not a bargain, but not a rip-off either... just below market. There are also piles of cool hardware, silverware, bier Krugs, etc. Just a lot of fun. This one was by the Novotel Tiergarten.
We found Brussels markets to be over priced, but then we only went to one that was supposed to be an 'antique market', didn't find anything there. I'm sure there were good ones we didn't know about.

Found a very nice Third Reich Krim shield for 50 cents at a garage sale once, that is my big score.
