Really? Could it even be thought of for that price? Are we living in a dream-land or is it me, that is not in touch with reality?
The description of the item doesn't even match "Description
Stunning sword presented to Captain H G Sutton 40th light rifles etc."

And poor quality photos.
That Haube is being sold for more than your BMW cost. Wouldn't you at least take it to a studio to be clicked?
Not sure if my paypal will let me move that much in one hit.

Anyway let's see the bids.

Since they've got the wrong title--this isn't an M1915--and wrong description--this sure isn't a sword!--I presume this is a: Prussian Jäger zu Pferde Landwehr/Reserve M1905 EM Metalhelme from the last batches before the M15 came in?

Did you check behind the wappen? Are these rivets I see? Shouldn't there be regular leather tabs instead? :-k

So, "There's a sucker born every minute" might go with that? Just asking, not accusing. Anyway, RON has a good point. I'd say a wappen off of a Dragoon helmet, placed on this one... not that that couldn't have happened. Just unlikely?

This was my point Ron: an officer eagle plate on an enlisted JzP shell! Expensive and fake.

Just a question - if the title and pictures of two ebay items get mixed up, what are you actually bidding on? The item in the title or the item from the pictures?

Still 0 bids and 4 days to go. It seems that there is hardly any interest in this helmet, or potential buyers did their home work this time :-k

Edwin

Or the fact that they don't understand why this 'sword' has a spike instead of a blade... #-o
