Fake or real pickelhaube?

Hi everyone,

Looking for some help to try and figure out if a pickelhaube I have is real or fake before I decide to sell it.
Can’t remember where I bought it but was from auction some time ago.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Hoping the money can go towards a correct / real one or possibly an imperial German sword.

Look forward to your responses 😃

Well it looks semi original to me.
The rosettes and cocardes are mounted in the wrong order.
The liner looks correct but the wrinkle wear on the fingers looks contrived.
The screw post holding the spike looks to be on the thin side.
Most that I have seen are much stouter.

Fakers delight

Just goes to show the lengths they will go to, very dangerous time to be a starting collector.

Please be careful at the smaller auctions that is where the "dealers" try to unload the fakes they are stuck with,
