Feldgrau K R 7 on Weitze

KAGGR#1

Well-known member
Home base Quedlinburg/Halberstadt. Warrant issue (!!) 1910. The tunic is made of field-gray cloth with a stand-up collar, "slanted side pockets," and "Swedish" cuffs, galvanized crown buttons, the button placket, cuffs, and collar with yellow piping, the cuffs and collar with gray braid with white and yellow piping, the field-gray epaulettes with white and yellow piping on the left shoulder, the regimental number "7" embroidered in red, the epaulette on the right shoulder is missing
the 2nd Squadron on both shoulders, and the small crest buttons for the corporal on the collar. Inside with white and olive cloth lining, the first-aid pouch at the bottom right, and on the left breast with a very fine war-room stamp "KRvS7," "1910," "1910," "2.E.", "1911," above a collection stamp. The carrying hooks on the back were neatly removed by the soldier over time, as is customary. Very nicely preserved. Condition 2.

A piece of museum quality! Extremely rare and in very good condition! This model 1910 tunic for enlisted cuirassiers is a rare piece, as it was used during the war. This is the first one we can offer in over 40 years on the market!
Sold in a flash at 8,500 Euro

That’s a wonderful tunic as are all the ones he posted yesterday.. I think the Garde tunics are wonderful, perfect issue tunics.

That is a great photo that you captured and posted .
Many thanks for doing that . We can look back on this photo
long after all the jackets have been sold and removed from his site
At least 3 of them sold right away . What a collection. I have a collector friend
who would have died for that Garde Schutzen , but he was too late
Thanks
Steve

The Shoulder straps and collars of all are wonderful, especially the Offizierstellvertreter im Garde-Schützen-Bataillon, the Offizierstellvertreter im 4. Garde-Feldartillerie-Regiment, and the one strap of the Gefreiten im Kürassier-Regiment Nr. 7.
I wonder if the new owner will find a match to the KR7 strap?

Me too…. It went fast

I do agree that these feldgrau jackets are beautiful and awesome,
I am at bit startled by the prices and readiness of others to pay so much money on them.

I have always been a cavalry enthusiast and especially the Ulanen regiments, tschapka's are one of my favorite collection items, so I really liked the Ulanka sold by weitze,
It is beautiful, see Photo, but I simply can not afford 8500 euro's, so this one is out of my reach, but it was sold right away anyway...

(I'm very happy to have a kammerstuck württemberg ulanen with regimentally marked lance sword and thschapka, these are the items I like probably most in my collection...

I agree that those are inflated prices, but there are many wealthy individuals who can afford to pay premiums. It’s just unfortunate that we don’t belong to that privileged group. Haha!

That’s an absolutely stunning Württemberg Ulanka. I also admire the entire display.

Perhaps a nice addition to this topic.
This is my KR7 that was modified during the war.
The Litzen have been removed as well as the cuffs.
I have also made it as a kind of Stosstrupper with camouflage helmet and fighting knife like a group of Stosstruppers of the Cavalry in the photo...

What a beautiful kammerstuck kurrassier feldgrau jacket,!!!! and what a shame the litzen was removed, if someone has a white koller ( from the dunkelblau period, maybe with moth holes) from which you could get the litzen, it would upgrade this one enormously, no one on the forum has such a jacket available?

You're absolutely right Michiel, but I'm afraid that it is easier to find an unicorn than the Litzen....( just like my " hunt" for the HR3 shoulder strap in one of mine other posts).

The Litze are different.

Hang in there for the auction
P M me if you tried the direct approach

Wouldn’t it be nice to know who much the dealer paid for those tunics. I wonder why they sold fast but the Bavarian Offizierstellvertreter hasn’t sold. Could it be due to the extremely nice stamps inside? They all seem about double the going rate. However, about 20-25 years ago I paid about $3k-3.5K for my Saxon LGR100 issue tunic. It was expensive back then but I never had regrets.
