Wouldn’t it be nice to know who much the dealer paid for those tunics. I wonder why they sold fast but the Bavarian Offizierstellvertreter hasn’t sold. Could it be due to the extremely nice stamps inside? They all seem about double the going rate. However, about 20-25 years ago I paid about $3k-3.5K for my Saxon LGR100 issue tunic. It was expensive back then but I never had regrets.

It seems to me that over the years collectors have really gone for the Feldgrau
MVD was the first collector who really went after it in a big way
he put together a really large collection
Years later he sold to the English dealer Regimentals
then M. Fisher did a large format book on the uniforms
then listed them for sale
some of them when quickly to the Baldwin collection
Baldwin passed away and his collection was sold
I have a collector friend George Bush who was one
of the first collectors to have Feldgrau uniforms
he brought them to the old , early OVMS shows
well before the Drawbridge and S O S
I had some good ones early on
today it seems that the sky is the limit
The only Feldgrau uniform that I still have
in the collection is a future peacetime ( Freiedenrock )
for an officer of Grenadier Regt 1
