Thanks to the efforts of several of members on the forum, the seller has changed his description to read:

"i have been advised by collectors this is a reproduction made in england in the 70s.well great that may be. however i will state i have sold military for over 30 years have never seen these ever and i have owned 100s of german helmets over the years of ww2 era so i dont know a lot about these but they cant be that common. as i never see at shows or websites. i just want to blow my horn as others have to me. da da da. at any rate i want 495.00 if you dont like it or the price so be it."

Hopefully this now flags the item to would-be buyers that the item a 1970's era reproduction/fake.

He probably really believes that it is a rare helmet, you can not blame him for that. He is an honest seller to post the corrected discription, I would say that he has to be the best seller to ever have offered this type of helmet.
